Honduras mahogany with inlays of various woods, lightly carved base, and finished with potassium dichromate stain, grain filler, and many coats of hand rubbed shellac; 27 5/8"X21" open; designed after a folding stand by John Dunlap ca. 1810, and  described in The Dunlap Cabinetmakers by Philip Zea and Donald Dunlap.
